Week 4: July 19 – July 23

Our halfway mark week. The summer isn’t slowing down anytime soon! We kicked this week off with our SoundSwash Bucklers (Gr 3&4), creating their sailboats and racing them down our freshwater stream! The Opti Beginners (Ages 8-12) showed their skills towards the end of the week as they all mastered sailing downwind alone. Our First Mates (Gr 5 & 6) learned about survival with their counselors and even got to see how to make a campfire properly! Our 420 beginner sailors worked on controlling the boat and getting comfortable, figuring out how and when to trim their sails. In the intermediate class, they conquered the upwind beat! It was an exciting week for our race teams as they were prepping for and racing in Regattas! Stay tuned for the results from all our summer regattas coming soon! Lastly, our Science exploration classes ended the week by making and receiving paper plate awards!

Check back in next week for week 5!

We still have spots left in our science explorations classes for your children!
