Week 2 Youth Summer

Week 2: July 5 – July 9

Welcome to Week 2! We started week two off with the First Mates (grades 5 & 6) catching a huge Flounder (close to 15in)! Opti Beginner (ages 8-15) got off to a great start with an adventure tow line on the first day! This helps the children get used to being on the boat and in the harbor! Our science classes got rides on Christeen throughout the week, learning about her history here in Oyster Bay. Bay Buccaneers (grades 3 & 4) explored all the local animals we have in the bay while seining. C420 Intermediate practiced their starts and worked on their roll tacks and spinnaker for the first time! Opti Intermediate (ages 8-15) ended the week on a great note as they did a relay race on Friday!
