**Important Notice for Residents Outside the Town of Oyster Bay**

  • Access to Theodore Roosevelt Park is restricted to Town of Oyster Bay* residents only, unless you have a reservation at The WaterFront Center. 

  • If you are a non-resident please be prepared to show your reservation at the park entrance. Your reservation can be printed or displayed on your electronic device. Please state that you are visiting The WaterFront Center.

Paddle Rentals

We have single, double kayaks, and stand up paddle boards for rent. Come paddle along the National Wildlife Refuge within the protected waters of Oyster Bay Harbor off Long Island Sound.

Kayak Wildlife Refuge Tours

Join us for a guided kayak tour in Oyster Harbor, a National Wildlife Refuge. Discover the diversity of local wildlife and learn about their habitat and the ecosystem that surrounds us. Your guide will be an experienced naturalist who will show you Oyster Bay, and the harbor habitat, like you’ve never seen it before.

Youth Summer Sailing

Our Summer Sailing Program offers young sailors the ideal platform to become comfortable and excited about the sport of sailing. Whether you are a novice sailor or experienced racer, through our program you will take the helm, develop seamanship skills, learn racing tactics, and more.

Adult Summer Sailing

The WaterFront Center offers sailing instruction to all ability levels, from the total beginner who may have never set foot on a boat before, to the advanced racer interested in refining their skills.

The WaterFront Center

The WaterFront Center (WFC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Oyster Bay, New York. We provide access to the waters of Oyster Bay Harbor and Long Island Sound through our marine education programs, recreational and instructional sailing programs, paddleboard, kayak and sailboat rentals, and through harbor tours aboard our National Historic Landmark oyster sloop CHRISTEEN.
