COVID-19 ADULT SAILING SAFETY POLICIES
The following is a short summary of the policies and procedures instituted at The WaterFront Center (WFC) that will create a safe environment while providing an enjoyable paddling experience for our customers and our staff. This page will be immediately updated with any revisions to these policies.

Social Distancing & Personal Hygiene
All participants are required to wear face masks in public areas, on our facilities, and on the boat especially when maintaining a 6 foot distance is not possible. All sailors will be required to wear a form of face covering. The face Covering must be able to withstand water and wind elements. Face masks will not be provided, however the WFC Buff will be available for purchase.
All persons must maintain a 6-foot distance between staff and other customers as much as possible, except when those persons are from the same household.
Participants are expected to arrive no early than 10 minutes prior to the start of your program time and to leave promptly afterwards.
No person(s) will be allowed to participant in programs at The WaterFront Center if they are exhibiting symptoms of the COVID-19 coronavirus. Participants are required to have quarantined for at least 14 days since they last experienced symptoms and/or tested positive for COVID-19.
If you are scheduled for all day learn to sail program, please make sure to either bring a lunch and keep it in your vehicle or you may leave to go get lunch. We will not be able to store lunches at the WFC.
Cleaning and Sanitation
Hand Sanitizer will be available for customer and staff use.
Sailboats, powerboats, life jackets, and other gear will be cleaned and sanitized after use by staff. High contact areas will be emphasized during cleaning.
Staff are required to wash their hands or use hand sanitizer before, after, and throughout the day.
Sailor Responsibilities
All sailors will be required to wear buffs/gaitors as the protective covering; masks will not be permitted due to drowning hazard. If you do not come in a buff, you will be sent home immediately and no refund will be issued for that missed day.
For any learn to sail class or clinic, you must register with someone from your household or “quaranteam”. If you cannot sign up with another person from your household for our learn to sail program, than you must register for the solo price.
Sailors must already with a reusable water bottle that is labeled. If you need to bring a bag onto the boat, your bag must be labeled with your name on it.
Arriving for Program
Please arrive on time, no earlier than 10 minutes before the start of the program. If you are running late, please notify the Front Desk. We will start class after 15 minutes.
Head to the front desk and follow signs to queue properly if there is a line ahead of you.
Once you have checked-in with Front Desk, pick up a freshly cleaned life jacket. The Front Desk Team will show you to your instructor.
Please promptly depart the premises once all WFC gear has been returned at the end of your class.
Bad Weather Conditions
The WaterFront Center reserves the right to cancel due to bad weather conditions for the consideration of the safety of our customers and staff. We will attempt to reschedule with the instructor for another day.
