Our Junior Summer Program has a fresh name and exciting updates! 🌊 This revamped program combines our passion for sailing and marine exploration into full-day two-week sessions.
Plus, we’re continuing to offer our popular half-day sailing programs and competitive summer race teams.
Registration Opens

Session(s): Camps are organized into 2-week sessions (Monday–Friday, except Session 1).
Session 1: June 30 – July 3 (4 days, no camp on July 4)
Session 2: July 7 – July 18
Session 3: July 21 – August 1
Session 4: August 4 – August 15

Camps: Discover our Full-Day Camp, offering a mix of sailing and marine science activities from 9 AM to 4 PM, with a supervised lunch break from 12 PM to 1 PM (lunch not provided).
Bay Buccaneers: Grades 1–2

Set Your Child On A New Adventure To Discover The Oyster Bay National Wildlife Refuge!
The WaterFront Center’s Sailing & Marine Exploration Camp in Oyster Bay offers a unique blend of sailing instruction and marine exploration for children aged 6-18. Campers will enjoy full-day sessions combining sailing skills with hands-on marine exploration, exploring local ecosystems, and building confidence on the water. This fun, inclusive environment ensures a comprehensive learning experience for all participants, whether new to sailing or looking to refine their skills.
Youth Summer Sailing Programs

Summer Sailing Program options:
Our Sailing Half-Day Programs are offered in the morning as AM classes, 9 am to 12 pm, or in the afternoon as PM classes, 1 pm to 4 pm. *Note: 1st & 2nd grade can combine with Bay Buccaneers PM Half-Day option for a Full Day. Full-day programs include a supervised lunch period (lunch not provided). New attendees, see below.
AM Lil Puffs*: Grades 1st - 3rd
AM Adventure Sailing: Grade 7th - 10th
AM Opti Beginner: Grades 3rd - 6th
PM C420 Open: Grades 8th - 12th
Summer Race Team options:
Experience required; must have sailing director approval
Opti Race Team: Grades 4th - 9th
420 Race Team: Grades 9th - 12th

All enrolled sailors will be reviewed based on their skill level and boating experience.
📌 Important:
Registrations will remain pending until approved by the Sailing Director/Head Coach.
A refund will be issued if a sailor cannot be reassigned to a class that matches their skill level.
