Women on the Water with CIFC

On Thursday, June 14th, The WaterFront Center hosted 18 women from CIFC Asset Management, who traveled to Oyster Bay from Manhattan for a day of corporate team building fashioned after our Women on the Water program. The participants were divided into groups of four and sailed on our Sonars, a 23-ft keelboat, with certified sailing instructors onboard. Once on the boat, they learned about the mechanics and the dynamics of the sailboat, including rigging details, raising sails and how to get the boat moving. Once out of the mooring field, the CIFC team took turns practicing driving, aka - helming, and trimming sails. They ended the day with a friendly race between all three boats!
