Connecting Our Community With CHRISTEEN

The WaterFront Center (WFC) was pleased to host special guests from the Lions of Oyster Bay, Raynham Hall Museum, First Presbyterian Church, Life Enrichment Center, North Shore Community Church, Friends of the Bay, Harmony Heights School, Oyster Bay High School, Chamber of Commerce and more for our Connection Cruises. The Connection Cruise was an idea spurred by The WaterFront Center board members, when they were thinking about the best way to let our community know about all the wonderful activities we host. Guests were invited to a two-hour sunset tour aboard the National Historic Landmark oyster sloop CHRISTEEN. While onboard they were treated to a lesson about marine creatures with a mobile touch tank filled with species directly from Oyster Bay.

As a non-profit organization, WFC provides opportunities for all to experience our marine education programs, recreational and instructional sailing activities, paddleboard, kayak, and sailboat rentals, and through harbor tours aboard the National Historic Landmark oyster sloop CHRISTEEN. The WaterFront Center is also proud to offer FREE sailing programs to individuals with developmental disabilities through our Zig Zag program and to all Veterans through the Veterans on the Water (VOW) program.
