Not Much Better In Life Than Sailboats & Sunsets
Sail the evening away with some light-hearted racing in a fun atmosphere that is the hallmark of the community experience at The WaterFront Center! We invite sailors of all skill levels to sail alongside each other in a quirky one-design fleet race. Test your skills on a traditional course, or highlight your unique talent for sailing backward! Rather be on a viewing platform than in the cockpit? Watch the race and the sunset aboard Oyster Sloop CHRISTEEN, Kayak, or paddle board, then reconvene ashore for cocktails and a cookout at Cooper Bluff with The WaterFront Center!

Event Schedule
Racing Clinic — begins at 2:00 pm - 1-hour pre-race clinic (must be registered, not required)
WFC Benefit Regatta — begins at 3:00 pm - This includes reservation of a Sonar for your party and participation in the regatta for up to four sailors.
Cocktails & Cuisine— begins at 7:15 pm - After the last race has sailed, join us ashore for food and an open bar at Cooper Bluff, followed by awards to celebrate the greatest triumphs and fumbles.

$600 Full Boat (4 people) or $225 Solo Sailor (Participation for one sailor to join on a boat with other solo sailors)

FUN: A great opportunity to have the whole family join in on the event and watch the race and the sunset aboard your own Kayak or Paddle Board.
TOUR: Learn how to paddle and become comfortable on a kayak/paddle board with our WPA-certified paddle instructor Deanna Arecco!

Sailors of all skill levels are invited to attend the Benefit Regatta. For those looking to pick up a few new tricks, get a lay of the land, and learn the foundations of racing along with WFC Big Boat Coach Cormac, this 1-hour pre-race clinic is a perfect addition to your day. Please arrive 30 mins prior.
"Hire A Pro" $225
add a 5th member to your boat from our WFC Sailing Staff who knows the lay of the land and has expertise in racing (purchase of a “Full Boat” required)
Open Bar & Food Only (7:15 pm) $50

Proceeds from this event support The WaterFront Center's endeavor to connect people to the water through education and recreation. We accomplish this mission by providing affordable and accessible marine education programs, recreational and instructional sailing programs, paddleboard, kayak, sailboat rentals, and harbor tours aboard the National Historic Landmark, Oyster Sloop CHRISTEEN.
