THE WFC CHARTER & RENTAL FLEET
The Christeen
For a really unique celebration in a magnificent setting, charter the Christeen for a private sail with family, friends, or co-workers. Perfect for special anniversary or birthday celebrations, or simply a great get-together under sail! The Christeen, a 40-foot gaff rigged sloop, is the oldest oyster sloop in America and a National Historic Landmark. She was originally built in 1883 for Captain William Smith in Glenwood Landing, New York for the purpose of harvesting oysters in Oyster Bay and Cold Spring Harbor. Over her 125 years, the Christeen served not only as an oyster dredge but also as a cargo carrier and live-aboard between Connecticut, New York and New Jersey. Experience beautiful Oyster Bay from the deck of this historic vessel as you lend a hand to the crew or sit back and enjoy the scenery. Pack a simple picnic or have your event catered. Let us help you create a memorable experience!
