The WaterFront Center of Oyster Bay, Long Island, New York: Sailing Lessons and Boating on the Long Island Sound

Come join the adventures of the Bay Bucaneers at the WaterFront Center. Through these science based programs, children discover the marine environment through a variety of hands-on activities including sailing on Christeen, performing science experiments, collecting local marine organisms with seine and dip nets, enjoying cooperative games, creating art projecta and sharing stories. Participants may also participate in fishing off the peir, kayaking or row boating. Special on-site guest programs have also included Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary and the Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery.
