Come join the adventures of the Sound Swashbucklers at the WaterFront Center. Through these science based programs, children discover the marine environment through a variety of hands-on activities including sailing on Christeen, performing science experiments, collecting local marine organisms with seine and dip nets, enjoying cooperative games, creating art projecta and sharing stories. Participants may also participate in fishing off the peir, kayaking or row boating. Special on-site guest programs have also included Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary and the Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery. Sound Swashbucklers will also be introduced to a small boat sailing experience.


Age Group:        Girls and boys entering grades 3 and 4
Date:                SS2: Monday - Friday, July 14 – July 25

Time:                9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Maximum enrollment: 16 children
Fee:                $950
