Girls and boys entering grades 3 and 4. Come join the adventures of a Swashbuckler at the WaterFront Center. Through these science-based programs, children discover the marine environment through a variety of hands-on, participatory activities including sailing on Christeen, performing science experiments, playing games, creating arts and crafts, listening to stories, collecting and identifying local marine inhabitants with seine and dip nets, exploring the beach and marsh area habitats, and swimming under the supervision of a certified lifeguard/Water Safety Instructor. Sound Swashbucklers may also participate in fishing off the pier and kayaking.
