Introduce your students to local marine wildlife and help foster their appreciation for and understanding of the marine environment through the WaterFront Center’s school programs. These hands-on programs, with a focus on inquiry and discovery, were created by a New York State certified teacher to meet and reinforce the New York State Standards, as well as the National Science Standards.Teachers can use these programs as a foundation for a science unit and to make connections across disciplines including mathematics, social studies, and language arts. Schools that meet New York State criteria as educating an underserved population may inquire about a possible reduction in fee.
